Specialist in spatial planning and urban development
Architect Belin Mollov is a specialist in spatial planning and urban development. He was the director of the Directorate General Plan of Sofia, where he led interdisciplinary teams for conceptual and urban development, adviser at Sofia Municipal Council, Vice Minister of Regional Development, co-chairman of the negotiating position Regional Policy under the Accession Treaty of Bulgaria to the EU, advisor to the Minister of Ministry of RD and part-time lecturer in Urbanism at UACEG. He has participated in urban development plans in Algeria, Vietnam, Libya and Mozambique. He has led teams to develop legislation in the area of spatial planning and regional and spatial development programs, local and regional governance, and European integration and EU Cohesion Policy implementation.
He has participated in the Council of Europe’s Expert Group on the development of the Charter of Cities. He has been a methodological manager of a number of municipal development plans and regional strategies.
